We are your Critical Incident Preparedness Consultant

At Prepared Response Advisors, we help organizations prepare for the moments they hope never happen. As a Critical Incident Preparedness and Emergency Response Consulting firm, we work with schools, businesses, churches, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community leaders to strengthen their ability to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from critical incidents. We are much more than a simple active shooter training company. We offer a suite of services to accommodate the unique needs of our clients.

Our approach goes beyond simply having an emergency plan sitting on a shelf. We focus on practical, actionable preparedness through critical incident planning, emergency preparedness assessments, active shooter preparedness, workplace violence preparedness, emergency response planning, staff training, tabletop exercises, and crisis response strategies tailored to each organization and facility. Our goal is to give leaders and employees the knowledge, confidence, and procedures needed to make informed decisions when every second matters.

Active Shooter & Critical Incident Preparedness

No building, workplace, school, church, or public facility can be assumed to be completely immune from violence or a critical incident. An active shooter or other violent event can develop rapidly and with little or no warning, making preparation before an incident essential. Organizations cannot predict every emergency, but they can prepare their people to recognize potential threats, understand their options, communicate effectively, and respond under pressure.

Our active shooter preparedness training and critical incident consulting help organizations identify vulnerabilities, evaluate existing emergency procedures, develop practical response plans, and prepare employees and leadership for high-stress situations. Training and planning are customized to the facility and organization rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

Prepared Response Advisors combines real-world operational experience with professional instructional experience to deliver preparedness training designed not simply to present information, but to help people understand, retain, and apply it.

Josh Caldwell began his law enforcement career in the United States Marine Corps, serving for six years as a Military Policeman. During Operation Desert Storm, he served at an enemy prisoner-of-war camp in an environment that included interrogator-translators and counterintelligence personnel. His military service provided an early foundation in law enforcement, security operations, threat awareness, and decision-making in high-stress environments.

Following the September 11 terrorist attacks, Caldwell became one of the founding members of the newly expanded Federal Air Marshal Service, joining in early 2002. He served as a Federal Air Marshal for approximately a decade, through 2012, during a defining period in the development of America's post-9/11 aviation security and counterterrorism mission.

His career provided opportunities to work with personnel from a broad range of federal, state, local, and international law enforcement, intelligence, and security organizations. These included personnel from the FBI, DEA, CIA, DIA, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Bureau of Indian Affairs, U.S. Border Patrol, ICE, TSA, and numerous state and local law enforcement agencies, as well as law enforcement personnel from dozens of foreign countries.

Throughout his career, Caldwell has also trained with highly experienced military and law enforcement personnel, including individuals from Naval Special Warfare, Delta Force, Army Special Forces, Army Rangers, Marine Corps sniper communities, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), and SWAT teams.

Together, these experiences represent 16 years of military and federal law enforcement service, including approximately a decade working in the post-9/11 federal aviation security and counterterrorism environment.
